Repro GM G506 Owners manual

Picked this up off ebay.. meant to be an owners manual (not a TM) from GM when they surplus the trucks. Not sure if that's the real reason.

For $26 it can't hurt.

Got the book yesterday in the mail. Its 48 pages and reading the foreward its clear that this owners manual is for public consumption:

'The operation of the 4x 4 1 1/2 Ton Military type truck differs in many way from the Conventional commercial truck; therefore, every purchaser of these vehicles should study the "Driver's Instructions" section of this book in order to become thoroughly familiar with the controls and techniques of driving'

The manual is a simplification of the TM's. The photo's are the same but the text is actually much clearer and easier to read. Most of the detailed maintenance instructions are left out and there are no part number references.

Not a bad deal for what I paid for it. You won't fix anything with it:

"Protect your investment by having your replacement repair and maintenance work done by an Authorized Chevrolet Service Station, who has the necessary tools and the trained men to do the work."
