LEAF SPRINGS QUESTION

Postby randal » Tue Jul 11, 2017 7:20 am

Dear friends
Looking for informations on how to put the CCKW front and rear leaf spings arching on the correct format.
My truck is at the shop and they are asking for the springs curvature measurements.
Thanks!

I got this from TM10-1563 August, 1942 (simply because it was the first TM10 I grabbed)

front spring:

Center to Center of eye: 40"
Center of eye to Seat Center: 20
Width: 2"

rear springs:
Length: 51 1/2"
End to seat center - each end: 25 3/4ths
Width 2 1/2"

The with winch and without winch front springs are bent the same, but the winch springs are thicker be about 1/4 in

So have them arch the springs to 40 inches center to center of eye and that should get you going.

Let me know if you need anything else.
I got a Mountain Cur and a ~~pitbull~~ big loveable cuddle puppy
