I am looking for several parts to complete my 1942, 235 cu. in. My number one priority is the correct harmonic balancer, part # is
CV-839824. If somebody knows where one is I would like to talk to you.

Might try Vehicles of Victory, or Chevys of the Forties. That shouldn't be too hard to find

Billy,
I thank you for looking at my ad and your suggestions. I also expected that it wouldn't be too hard to locate an original
balancer for my 1942 G506 but I was wrong. I have advertised on most of the web sites but have had no luck yet, but I have got some information along the way, some correct and some incorrect.
The civilian balancer is different than the military one, how different I am not sure. I do know that the proper fan belt for this truck is 839368 which was superseded by belt CV 3679186. these belts are 15/16" wide not the 5/8" used with civilian vehicles.
I wonder where all the old pulleys are if I can't even find a correct balancer.

Thanks BrianC
