While researching oil pan decal info I stumbles across the following GM Technical Bulletin G-61 I came across exactly (well, 90%) of what I was looking for: the text of the oil pan decal!

The decal even has a GM part number GM-2190260 Decalcomania - oil pan removal instructions.

The TB even gives the location: Two decals, one on each side of the UPPER oil pan.

The verbiage: "CAUTION - remove lower oil pan and disconnect pump intake before removing screws from the upper oil pan"

Although there are three separate oil pans used on the CCKW (shallow oil pan - Banjo and Split, deep sump - was the same fro both axles, only differentiated by the length of the spring stops) the decal was only on the deep sump oil pan. The shallow oil pans did not have an oil pump extension like the deep sump.

So, we know what they said, but what color/layout is still the nagging question to be answered.

So even if you have a poor quality photo of the decal, as long as we can make out the format, we have the words to plug in.

Hopefully someone will post a pic or e-mail me one.

I am awaiting permission to use the images for printing then I will post pictures and then get it to the artist for clean up and making separations.

Here it is! Ain't it purty!

I kinda guessed that it would be a high visibility decal.

Last decal to confirm is the oil bath air cleaner.
