I'm sure someone, somewhere has a pristine, original gray oil filter. But till we find it and beg for pictures this will have to do.

Thanks to the many, many people who have helped in this quest.

I'll sit back and wait for someone to tell me that's the wrong shade of gray.

The same color I used on my GPW's engine New Ford Gray #216 from Plasticote.
