Starting May Lowes will carry Craftsman tools. Plus they seem to indicate they will honor the Craftsman Lifetime guarantee. Sadly, I don't think they are retooling the line, just reselling it... which means lower quality than we are used to in the past. Not sure how this will affect the house brand Kobalt.

Since this is just a reselling play the most tools will still most likely be Chinese made... which is a bummer. Although Western Fordge is a US company they tried to get out of the Craftsman contract in 2017. Sears Craftsman products (and others) that are produced by Western Forge are marked with a "WF" on them. The world needs a quality mid-tier tool source and that used to be Craftsman.

Since I bought a new tool cart I also added some socket organizers and I need to fill in the empty slots.... I originally bought my Craftsman toolset in 1988 and 30 years later I'm still using them... now if I can just find that damn 10mm socket.... I swear I lose that thing 5 times a day.
