Walker Jack study.

Seems like one of the accepted CCKW jacks is the Walker 925. But there are several that have that number. Below are two Walker 925s. Note the tags.

Whats odd is that TM9-801 April 1944 is the only TM9-801 to have a picture of the jack. The April 43 version does not.

Also, it seems that BOTH series C and D may have been used. If you look at the APRIL 1944 TM9 on page 23 the linkage is the flat stamped type (Series D), and on page 402 it shows another jack with the cast linkage (Series C). Both jacks in the TM seem to have different decals.

Some NOS WW2 vehicle jacks in attached pics - Hein Werner and Walker GMC jacks to the right - look for the letters GM in a box stamped into side of jack when hunting in the fleamarkets.

Would it be possible to get some light on those jacks? Hard to make out details.

Also, if good photos (and sizes) of the decals can be sent to me they can be made... I do that now :)

Also of interest are the handles.

I just wanted to post more pictures of the Walker 935 Series 'C' 3.5 ton jack.

Note that there was a decal.

And it was painted blue at some point:

And there appears to be either a part number stamped on the side. The second letter is an 'H'. The cross bar is not clear in the photo.

I recently purchased not only the Walker 925 C 3.5 ton jack, yet another Walker Jack a 927 Series A 3 ton jack.

Other than the load rating both are very similar. Both need some hydraulic fluid but other than that they seem to be functional.

Now to work on those handles and the decals.

Just like anything else CCKW... no jacks for years.. then BAM! Two in a month.
