Parts sources - G506

Postby pfarber » Thu Jul 05, 2012 9:11 pm

I'm going to add Chevy/G506 parts sources as I find them. Chevys seem to be a little harder to find parts for :(

I don't know if he has a web site, but seems to have quite a few parts.

You might try Frank Von Rosentheil (not sure about spelling) and LWDPARTS.com I've ordered from LWD before, and there stuff is really top shelf.

Great source for bearings (Timken):

Somewhere on the net, I downloaded a Timken bearing interchange guide (395 pages of interchange numbers, and searchable!!).

The timken equivalents are:

GM 2140122 = Timken 1377c (CCKW?? from another forum)
GM 909422 = Timken 614037 (this is the same bearing listed for my Chevy G506)

I have had great luck buying Timken bearings based on this interchange guide here:

http://www.jbr17llc.com/index.html

In fact they list both of the timken bearings listed above...

I hope this helps someone!
