Headliners

Postby pfarber » Fri Aug 17, 2012 4:32 pm

Tom Dienst from VoV advised against the cardboard headliners for the closed cab. Anyone use them? Are they really that bad, and more important were the original Chevys/GMCs built with fiberboard or metal headliners?

Also, I am going to buy the fiberglass headliner front part that goes over the wiper motors. Any comments on fit or finish?

Seems like they are not as horrible as made out to be:

A little bit of work.. but sounds doable. The big tip seems to wet the cardboard to make it form to the cab, and to start with the front part, install the middle support, then the rear.

For the price I may just order one to see if its a hassle..
