New life canvas bench seat cover

Postby pfarber » Sat Oct 20, 2012 5:00 pm

NL lists a bench cover for the Chevy.. $135... hopefully $150ish with shipping.

I know I need some hog rings and pliers. Burlap should be easy to find... not sure if there is horsehair padding or not. The seat I have is in good shape... just needs a cover.

Anyone use the New Life cover?

Mona called me mid week and said the seat covers were on their way!

So I guess the first official part I restore on the Chevy will be the seats.

Still not happy not knowing exactly what kind of truck(s) I have. If given a choice I am going to error in favor or the 'early' parts (grill, side panels) but I guess the wood bed would be a dead give away that its not a 41/early 42.

Since there are plans 'out there' for a steel bed you think someone like Midwest Military would have a new steel bed for $2500-$3000 by now.
