Ok, I threw down $143 for data plates from Robert Dudkowski.

Can anyone see why I am kinda concerned? Or is this an early late data plate issue???

Also they don't SEEM to be ETCHED, but simply PRINTED. I could be wrong but closer examination of the other data plates looks like printed ink, not etched metal.

Anyone have a set that can confirm this???

Got the Chevy Data plates in the mail today.

I don't know anything about the Chevy plates, and the only TM I have is the TM9-805 and that is from 1943. The TM10-1557 is on the data plate.

The only thing I notices was as above.. the shift plate was swapped.

The plates are etched, but as you can see form the scan (that's done at 300dpi, then saved as an 80% JPEG) there are some issues with the etched letters/ink being blotchy.

If I somehow ruin these, I will simply print whats in the TM on some brass. For $143 I was expecting higher quality. But these are the only game in town.
