Helpfull tool: syringe

Postby pfarber » Fri Aug 16, 2013 11:36 am

I recently bought a 3 pack of 20cc syringes and a 5 pack of 16 gauge needles for oiling my sewing machine. They beat the hell out of an oil can.

File down the tip so it not poke you in the eye sharp and fill with various oils. A sharpie tells me what's in it. It works GREAT for ball oilers that seem to be on many mills/lathes. Also, the rocker's on the 235 have a small oil hole drilled in them.. guess what fits nicely in them to preoil the shaft? A 16gauge needle!

Tractor Supply has them in the horse section. Total cost was about $8 for everything. They don't leak and if you remember to put the cap back on the needle they are pretty safe.
I got a Mountain Cur and a ~~pitbull~~ big loveable cuddle puppy
