Brake line tubing straightner

Postby pfarber » Tue Mar 26, 2013 5:35 am

Buying bulk, coiled brake line is $1/ft vs the more expensive segments that are already flared with fitting. G506's and CCKWs use quite a bit of brake lines, and while the Chevy does have a preformed kit (available from VehcilesofVictory.com) the CCKW, to my knowledge, does not.

So how do you go from a coil of line to nice straight segments to bend? With a tube straightener. But most commercial units are north of $200. The key is to find the wheels with the proper grove diameter. That may or may not be easy to do. Attached is a pdf file with instructions on how to make one for about $30. Here is another thread about other sources of wheels.
