I LOVE JUNK YARDS!
Posted: Tue Aug 20, 2013 12:56 pmI live about 30 minutes from 'Harrys U-Pull it' one of the largest junk yards in PA. Since getting my 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee its needed some minor parts that I could get new... but I figured that a trip to the yard would be fun.
I quickly located 6 ZJs that were the same model:
New spare tire and mount (still had molding nubs) $14
Hood release latch: $7.50
Entrance fee $2
Off ebay the lowest price for a spare I could find was $50 delivered. And the hood latch is a common problem so I expect to have to get another one of the latch seizes up. Spend about 2 hours walking around and getting the parts.
