What the Frack.. New Epson Printer dies

So go to print some tax forms on my just over 1 month old Epson WF-7610 13x19 scanner/printer.
Print look like shit. Clean the heads and align them.. but the manual does not give any indication of what a 'proper' alignment printout should look like.
I call Epson and they say clean and print alignment. OK. So they explain to me that I need to select the box in each row that has no bands (they never explain what to look for, or give a 'proper' example). I tell the guy on the phone they all look the same, all have large white lines. We go back and forth, and he has me do a color copy to verify the print (to make sure its not a software setting on my PC). I explain the print is double, ghosting, not straight.. he does not believe me. I tell him that I will scan the page and email it to him... he asks me to do another head alignment printout... and it still looks the same.... So now he wants a detailed explination, and I go into detail for him... no box is solid, they all have lines, every color etc etc etc.
Bottom line, new printer is being sent to me. Just after I had a blow up with the HP printer. ANOTHER printer screws up. Scanning is flawless.. fast and has a HUGE scan area... but the printer kinda don't print.
