Jeep judging & the MVPA what a crock

OK. If you restore a 'Factory class' vehicle, by definition its supposed to be EXACTLY like the machine that rolled off the assembly line in the 40's.

So I read this on another site (the jeep one):

Mark's sets are double flared and differ from other reproduction line sets in that his main line (tank to firewall filter) is two-piece, joined under the floor. This makes for easier installation -- BELIEVE ME. Sets include all metal lines from the tank to the carb.

So someone is selling a COMPLETELY non-original set of fuel lines. Then:

"I used one of your sets and took 1St place at Portland. "

Um.. how can the jeep Nazi's give out first place when a jeep has the WRONG set of fuel lines?

What a joke.

Umm, just a WAG, but maybe it was because the winning jeep was nicer than the others it was competing against?? Is this a TRICK question?

It was at the Portland MVPA convention if I read it right.

Even if it was in Podunk AK, FACTORY CLASS is not judged against other jeeps, but against the FACTORY CLASS judging standards.

I've always said the judging process is a farce.... now I have proof.
