Dirty Little Secret

I noticed you were displeased with the MD Juan Jeep Windshield you bought.
I have had a few years around Jeeps.
The problems with MD Juan have existed since the day they made their first part. The popular dealers, Bensinger, Ron's, and the others damn well know what they sell. The word quality when it comes to MD Juan, does not pass the straight face test. It is frustrating to see all of the cronies of the hosts of the Jeep sites keep silent on the topic and allow the newcomers to MVs get screwed without warning.
The guys that sell the junk MD Jaun parts should be willing to give a refund and offer to take the parts back. All who buy the MD Juan parts do so in good faith. The vendors are aware of what they sell.
Seems to me that Bensinger has remarkeded that the MD Juan Jeep products he sells are carefully selected to ensure quality, if so he should have no problem with replacement or refund.
There is a semi finished MB project with a MD Juan body up for offer now on a popular Jeep site. Could it be that it is for sale because the owner is frustrated with MD Juan?
Thank you for speaking out and doing a service to the hobby, it is years too late though.

First off, all the vendors know that MD Juan parts are crap. They don't want to take the time to weed out the garbage and demand correction/replacements at their initial receipt. So they hope that people can 'get it to work' because shipping the garbage back to MD Juan is to expensive. Heck, even simply returning them back to the vendor is expensive. For a window/floor think $150+ each way.

They cannot discount the crap because they can sell it at retail price and hope for the best, ie SCREW the customer and hope THEY can make it work.

I am done with vendors and MD Juan parts. I'll take the time to find take off parts and repair them.. becuase I have to repair the MD Juan garbage. Its easier to make a patch than reform a floor becuase its 2 inches to long.

I have a local kane steel dealer so I am gonna start buying sheet steel and a nice box/pan brake. Possibly a slip roller.

It gets to be a real challange when the Dealer selling parts is the site owner, noone dares to speak as they fear getting kicked off the site. The MD Juan dealers are laughing all the way to the bank. If you will note, many of the MD Juan dealers cannot fit into a Jeep anyways.

I don't kick people off this site unless they spam it, or REALLY REALLY have pissed me off... and thats hard to do. I don't get offended easily, and calling me names gets you know where... I've been called them all. After 5 years on a submarine your skin is not only thick, armor plated, and teflon coated.

If you have a different opinion from mine, than PLEASE post it. I have much more respect for a person who can voice his views and have the intelligence and character to defend them, than I do for the neutered, PC, can't offend anyone, 'why can't we all get along' wuss that cries when their views are questioned.

Plus, as many should know.. I just don't blather without being able to back it up. My recent discussion on g503.com about Horses and the Wehrmacht shows that I love a good debate and that I *generally* (not always, but more often than not) know what I am talking about.

I do not think many MD Juan fans will pass thru this site.
Too bad so fewof the French Army Surplus Jeep parts are sent to the USA.
