I read this:

I would like to comment on these carburetors,I purchased one from MR Dover and can verify they are all he claims
them to be. Fresh, clean NOS perfect you will be very . And now to offset all the negative ramblings of Mr Farber
I will let you in on a secret, drum roll please they have the famous sight plug , Now just in case Mr Farber is reading
this I will repeat ( THEY HAVE THE SIGHT PLUG) I just thougt everyone should know this important fact
Note, he never said WHICH CARB HE BOUGHT.
If you read my posts, NEVER EVER EVER did I say Bend me Over's CAST IRON CARBS were wrong. On the contrary my research proves that the cast iron carb were the ONLY ones made till 198X because THOSE WERE THE ONLY ONE SPECIFIED BY THE ARMY. They superseded the die cast ones in Feb 1944. Why would the Army or Zenith keep making carbs that were no longer installed on CCKWs (the die casts) for 40+ years after the superseded date? Did GMC keep making any other superseded parts for 40+ years?
Also, Bend Me Over blathers on about 'correect venturi size' and other things.... I do believe he needs to open up TM9-1826C of 15May1944 to page 34-35 an see how many 28AV11s are listed that have the same specs.
The DIE CAST carb were the sticking point. And I proved via the TMs, and photographs that the after March or so of 1943 all die casts carbs had fuel bowl sight plugs. Bend Me Over didn't. Its a moot point becuase about a year later the 'civvie' die casts were replaced with the military standard cast iron.
I know, beating dead horse... but there are way to many people out there that are still getting it wrong. Read this site and you will learn... takes a *little* effort but you will save your self from making assinine posts list the guy above.
All you have to do end this is post a picture of the box the carb came in, the fuel plug, and the ID disk and this is over. read my posts from the G.. I asked the same thing back then.. and I still ask the same thing now. Accounts are free and so is the picture upload.
ALL I NEED TO SEE IS 3 PICTURES.
I eagerly await no response once they see that I am right.
