Can you help find a part that I think I know about?

The GM part number I posted is a particular thickness, Spicer manufacturers PTP Spacers that are similar but in different thicknesses. My original was broken, I installed a thinner Spicer and built it up with the special thickness gaskets, which did not work out right. I misplaced the broken spacer and do not know the proper thickness. Getting the correct backlash is a pain, especially with the CCKW Clark Transmission and the heavy clumsy PTO used by CCKW's. Just want to get it right for a change.
I appreciate your help, tho.

Ummmmm there is no setting for backlash. If there WAS an official backlash setting a special jig an micrometer would be required. Since the PTO is a very simple and sloppy spur gear. ALSO the input from the transmission is always in the same direction. The rotation is reversed internally (there is a 'reverse' or 'pay out' position). Also the PTOs ARE IDENTICAL IN CONSTRUCTION. There are different part numbers for HIEL vs GAR WOOD, but they are interchangeable (like ordering a WO part for a Ford GPW... same part, different supplier).

The ONLY part manual that specifies HEIL vs Gar Wood parts by specific manufacturer part number is the TM10-1562 on this site :)

All other SNLs go by the GMC part number.

There are a few SPICER PTOs but only affect a few CCKWs

I forgot to add that there were AT LEAST 5 DIFFERENT PTOs used on the CCKW line.

2 single shaft PTOs (Hiel and Gar Wood)
2 dual shaft PTOs (Hiel and Gar Wood)
1 Spicer

ALL will bolt right up.. the linkagest might not, but the bolt holes and gears will.

"I installed a thinner Spicer"

REALLY?

The SPICER was only used on 164in WB chassis only models (-1 varient) SNs 70224 - 71341 and 153019-153218 for a total of 1316 trucks. These would be impossible to find as they cam from the factory as a 'cab only' chassis. Most likely for use with a specialized bed.

Again, none of these PTO's had a 'backlash setting'.
