- If you use flash, shoot at an angle otherwise the paper get a 'hot spot'
- Use the cameras delay (I use 2 second delay) so that after you press and hold the shutter button you have time to steady the camera as the 2 seconds count down... MACRO is VERY susceptible to movement... even from the shutter button.
- Set ISO to a 80 or 100 it generally get you a 'cleaner' shot by eliminate a lot of 'noise' (aka blurriness) because the image sensor is not set to an overly sensitive setting. Also, make sure you have plenty of light.
- Set the white balance to the proper lighting. AUTO is OK, but you can get better images by selecting the proper setting for the lights you are using. Most camera will have a 'sun','flourscent' etc setting
My Camera is a 12MP Canon SD780IS.. its not a pro-sumer or commercial grade camera by a long shot.. but its a good camera, and by making some manual setting changes you can get a good picture when using MACRO functions.
