Issued to drivers?

"Driving Goggles were Issued to truck drivers."

This is 50% wrong.... not a major thing, but I would like to clarify.

I have a QuarterMaster Company TO&E 10-17 dated Feb, 1944. The goggles are issued one per driver of fuel consuming vehicle. Each company was allotted 59 clear lens goggles, 13 red (for the .50BMG gunner on vehicles so equipped) and 121 green. Each fuel consuming vehicle was also allotted 1 TL-122 flashlight. :?

The goggles were either M-1943, M-1938 or M-1942 whatever was on hand. Technically not 'driving goggles'.. they were standard issue goggles that were very fragile and easily damaged.

I have not seen a WWII photo with a driver wearing them. (this is the part where I get 5,000 emails of drivers wearing goggles.... if you have such a pic.. I'll post it).
I got a Mountain Cur and a ~~pitbull~~ big loveable cuddle puppy and a Brown Husky aka 'Golden Dragon'
