Winch lever lock plate

Postby motto » Fri May 10, 2013 7:38 am

Hi Paul.

I asked a question on the G503 forum about whether the hinged winch PTO lever lock was fitted right from the start of production or was a modification during the production run.

Nobody has responded so I thought I would ask you. The plate I'm referring to is attached to the floor alongside the lever slot and has a hinged part with a cut-out that locks the lever in neutral

Originally there were no lock plates.

And of course I can prove it with a photo 8)

This is from the Tankograd Dump, Gun and Bomb service truck book. I could dig out the specific TM10s.. but this should suffice. Note the early round levers in the open cab. The late 42 and early 43 TM10s do list contract information so you should be able to get an idea how 'early' early is.
