Hydraulic fluid.. whats taht smell?

Took off the hydraulic pump on the dumper (HEIL type) and god did it stink. It was clean, but had some pretty bad fumes. Best I can describe it is a mix of DOT 3 brake fluid and olives. Eyes were irritated. Must have been some strong stuff because I did all the work outside and still got a bit sick.

Good news is that the pump internals look good. If the piston is in as good of shape then I'm going to restore it with parts from the cargo truck. If the piston is shot then its scrap. I really would like a dump truck.. not a lot were produced and they are useful to have.
