As I have documented in this tread:

There are numerous variations of the TM9-801 and SNL supplied with every CCKW.
Up until April 1943, the TM10's were supplied. Depending on what contract the truck was supplied under would dictate what TM10 you got.
From April 1943, the TM9-801 was supplied. Here is an image of the contents of the tool kit:
Here is the TM up close and personal:
Not that there are no 'reprint' text in the middle of the page... other than 'RESTRICTED' across the top.
In April 1944, the cover of the TM9-801 changed yet again. If you look through the covers in the thread listed above, there are many variations of the cover... depending on if its post war (1948 printing) or was not a truck supplied copy, but a reference copy for shops.
So, what did the April 1944 TM9 look like? Well, since I don't have one (all mine are dated 1948 reprints) I had to look at other TM9s that WERE wartime dated and compare them.
The quick and dirty? The on truck wartime issue TM9s were 'blank' (did not have the 'Restricted' block of text) but the BIGGEST tell is that date in the lower right of the cover. All of the wartime TM9s I have list the date as " DD MONTH YEAR". Post war TM9 listed the date as just "MONTH YEAR". Wartime TM9s *did* have the 'reprint' text and the 'Restricted' text, but were supplied to shops/etc for reference, not as on ON TRUCK TM as part of the tool kit.
So I have yet another TM9 to collect.
