Jeep brake tool

Post by pfarber »

Just did the annual going over of the jeep and did wheel bearings and adjust breaks. Made a simple too that helps with the front lower adjusters.

Get a 3/4th inch offset box end wrench, 16 point and grind the tip at about a 30 deg angle for about half the width of the box end:

This taper allows for the box end to fit between the lower king pin bearing housing/bolts and the inner brake adjuster:

Since its a 16 point box end you don't have to turn the wrench far before you can tighten/loosen the lock nut:

I can actually fit the small wrench on the adjuster while locking it down.... makes major brake adjustments take about 5 minutes per tire. Rears are even easier.
I got a Mountain Cur and a ~~pitbull~~ big loveable cuddle puppy and a Brown Husky aka 'Golden Dragon'
