I leave my PC on all the time.. when Idle it uses very little power. I've had a UPS for years, but I just now got around to hooking up the USB cable to monitor it and set up the auto shutdown if power goes out. Imagine my surprise when I check the status and find this:
A 7 second power dump buy the utility.. my PC never even flinched. Seeing that I have both an onsite and off site backup PLUS a UPS I'm hoping that I never lose anything important.. and here's proof that I had seven seconds to worry about.
