I rent a few small VPS's for this site and games... I usually do a 6 hour backup to my PC, then backup to an external HDD. Well today I got a little excited with the file deleting and deleted a 60Gb VDI image that had this site's backup. Since it's bigger than the recycle bin it was deleted right away. Crap. I didn't want to spend all day recreating/redownloading the site so I fired up the restore software and hoped that the backup would capture such a large file.. and thankfully it did.
A few clicks later, about 30 minutes to restore, now all the data is back and the backups are re-syncing.
I use an older version of Genie Timeline Pro (2013) and while its out of support the new version simply doesn't do anything new to justify the cost. I also use an Amazon based cloud backup for really important stuff.. so far that's never been needed... the local backups have saved my butt.
