Shopping for electricity... rip-offs-galore!!!

So we get to shop for our electricity provider... getting the lowest rates, or using renewable energy etc etc

Right now PPL says thier base price is $0.07kw/hr (if you don't have a plan, PPL will charge you THEIR rate, of $0.07kw/hr. That's a shit rate.

If you use 700kw/hr (average home) PPLs charge is $52.44 (plus other fees like line fees, transmission fees, taxes.. all plans pay those fees... you are only shopping for generation charges)

The cheapest so far (for a 90 day contract, no penalty to quit)
Public Power, LLC $0.0299 $20.93

My current electric provider sends me their 'Great Annual rate' as part of a Fall Signup Sale!!!
Frontier $0.136 PLUS a $10/mo 'management fee'.

Who is stupid enough to pay 6x times the going rate PLUS a $10/mo 'management fee'?????

So yeah... Frontier is getting dropped at the end of the current 90 day contract (which I am paying $0.049kw/hr).
