G506 oil filter elements

Hi Guys,Nigel here in the UK .Can anyone help me with finding a suitable oil filter element for my Chevy G506 7117 cargo truck with the winch was registered to the US Navy in March 1944 and made in Atlanta GA (Just for info).
I bought a filter element from Rex Ward a couple of years ago when I changed the oil but last year I ordered two more elements from him and they didn't fit ,they were larger .Rex said the size had been changed but had had no problems from his Jimmy customers and that my housing must be a different size !!
Can any of you Chevy owners out there point me to a suitable source.
