I partially set up an MS account simply to get Minecraft for the kid. I did the bare minimum because I will not use MS service and don't want to be spammed.
Well kiddo is getting told by his friends to download all these 'free' games (all you need is a social media account, which at his age he does not need).
Well, I log in to disable as much of the MS store as I can and I get this bullshit:

The emails are the exact same. But when I click on verify, they want my cell phone number to verify my account.
NOPE.
