WTK: What kind of Chevy bed was on the gunnery trainer tru

Thinking of building a gunnery trainer truck with turret on the top of a framework on rear. What kind of bed was on the trucks that were turned into such rigs? Also, looking for a truck.........anyone know of any for sale . Gotta be orignal and reasonble.
